ElaryWakefield was the 10,000th person to give me a llama, and now it has been upgraded to golden!  It took me six years to get to this point, but I feel pretty good about it.

Only thing left now is to try to double that count... Think I should try to work for it, or just see if it happens before I die?

   Probably photos. But there's a lot that's fun!

   Ooh, this is a tough one… maybe sculpture, actually. That would be cool.

    Depending on what it is, either Photoshop or my camera and Aperture. (Though it looks like I'll have to move to Lightroom… damn you, Apple )

14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?

    Anywhere outside, when I'm by myself.

We're starting back up by holding an emoticon contest with prizes and all that jazz!
This month's theme is Easter! You can go crazy with chocolate, bunnies, eggs and whatnot!
To be able to upload an entry to the Easter Contest 2015 folder we prepared, you must apply for membership first. Unless you already have emoticons in your gallery, upload your deviation before/while applying so you're eligible to receive membership!

This contest marks the return of Emoticiety to deviantART, hopefully. SwissCheesy has volunteered to become an administrator of the group, and I believe he can do what needs to be done.

Based on my latest poll, I have exactly one active watcher, so this goes out to you.  

I'm currently finishing a semester of AP Calculus BC in a total of three weeks, so I've been kind of busy. As soon as I finish the course, I'll be off to Shakespeare camp, but I'm going to do my best to get some photo editing in there! Wish me luck.

Gosh, I haven't done much here in a long while! (If you're reading this far off in the future, and this is still my latest journal entry, know that I intend never to be completely inactive here. I may go weeks or months without logging in but I will always come back!)

So most of my watchers have probably forgotten about me and/or dA entirely, but here's a little summary of my past and future life at this point in time.

I'm currently finishing high school. I'm working on a big tutorial website project thing to teach people how to use Macs (and how to use Macs better) currently, and our 20-piece band (~40% of the high school!) is kind of a big deal and playing at other schools and stuff. I've made a website for the band, The Limes, here, and it even has some of my photos of the band! Check it out; we'll probably have some music recorded soon, too.

So my last journal entry being from 2012, it's clear that I haven't been on dA a lot recently! However, I plan to change that. I'm currently in the process of weeding out my gallery and uploading some of my newer, better work, and turning this account into something that I'm actually proud to show people. Also, I have a 500px page, which has a small assortment of my best photos, which you can look at if you're impatient. Though, that actually needs some updating too!

This summer, I'll be doing lights for a musical at a local black box theater, attending Get Thee to the Funnery (for the last time ), going to Campers' Week (the folk music/dance camp at Pinewoods Camp in Massachusetts), and getting ready for my new life at Brown University in the fall! I'm super duper excited; I got in Early Decision, and I can't wait to become totally swamped in unmanageable coursework that I can't comprehend.

I've become a bit more invested in photography, both conceptually and financially. The camera that I bought in the summer of '12 fell in the ocean by Belize last spring (only 8 months later ), so I saved up again and bought a real DSLR in June: a Pentax K-30! I've been doing a lot of stuff with it that I can hardly wait to show you all. I've done absolutely nothing with emoticons since I left, but maybe I'll do more soon. (Point commissions are open, by the way! See the box on the left of my page.)
